Lancaster Forwarding and Logistics was founded in Belgium 1996 and has grown to be a key player in the international transport of foodstuffs and general cargo. While our core business has always been the West-African market, over the years we have evolved to being a freight forwarder specialized in handling both dry as temperature controlled foodstuff cargo, as well as general cargo, all over the globe.
For our office in Gdynia, due to the dynamic development of our Polish branch we are currently looking for a Sales Executive to boost our sales team. Sales Executive


Approach life in Lancaster PROACTIVELY
Build and develop a portfolio of accounts from targeted new clients as well as own existing network of clients
Prospect and develop new opportunities through varies means (telemarketing, direct mail, personal solicitation) to qualify and develop prospects
Meet with prospective and existing clients on a regular basis and provide a forwarding service tailored to their specific needs
Promote the company's products and services through delivery of product presentations and demonstrations
Work strategically with the sales and operations teams to plan and create sales strategies and activities to increase personal and group profitability between branches
Act as an initial point of contact for all commercial customer enquiries, escalations and queries, ensuring that any commercial, operational and financial issues are resolved
Keep track of prospecting and sales activity on a regular basis to facilitate situation assessments and sales follow ups
Maximise profit potential through regular reviews and identification of new opportunities, as well as cost improvement negotiations with service suppliers (inland hauliers, shipping lines, and so on)
Identify means of improving services and quality to customers, to encourage continued business development and customer longevity, through maintaining and building open and collaborative relationships
Maintain an awareness of competitor activity and pricing policies to ensure competitive marketing


Min. 3 years experience of working in Freight Forwarding environment
Proven sales experience in ocean/air/road freight sales
Ability to attack the market from day 1
Will to travel to visit potential and existing customers on a regular basis
Computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Confident, flexible, friendly, approachable and quick thinker
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Critical, time sensitive decision making
Highly customer service oriented
Ability to multi-task and organize workflow to manage daily responsibilities, meet deadlines and prioritize work

A well established book of business with customer contacts and new business leads will be considered as a big plus for the role (clients from the fresh and frozen product market sectors not compulsory but viewed as an additional plus).
